At Emmanuel we want our church and our lives to be built on the Word of God and empowered by the Holy Spirit.

One way we do this is by reading through scripture together and this year you have a choice in the Emmanuel Bread Journal. We have given you an Old Testament and New Testament reading each day. By choosing to read both you will make your way through the whole Bible in a year. By choosing just the New Testament you will have a shorter daily reading and read the New Testament in a year. You decide.

We don’t want to approach this with a tick box mentality, instead we want to come to the scriptures each day to feast on the story of Jesus, who declared himself to be ‘the bread of life’.
