Background

Emmanuel was launched in 2008 by Stu and Livy Gibbs. We have two congregational meetings on Sundays: 10:30am in Greenwich and 4pm in New Cross, and a small group meeting in London Bridge.

Values

We are a diverse, creative and welcoming group of churches meeting in Greenwich & New Cross with a passion to present Jesus to London.

We try to let the bible shape our church life and doctrine as much as we can. As well as affirming the historic Apostles and Nicene creeds we sign up to the Evangelical Alliance statement of faith. To read a description of the values that shape the church read our Biblical Vision linked below:

Partners

Emmanuel Church is partnering with a number of other churches across the UK and Europe under the name New Ground, part of the newfrontiers family of churches. One aspect of this is a major commitment to Newday, a Christian festival for young people gathering around 7000 each summer.

We also partner with other local churches, charities and groups including Greenwich Food Bank, Old Spike Roastery

Trustees

Emmanuel Church London is a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee. The directors of the charitable company are its trustees for the purpose of the Charities Act 1993. The company is governed by the memorandum and articles of association.
